Foundry VM-1 Velocity Management Module Version 1 Foundry VM-1

The Velocity Management Module version 1 (VM1) is a new redundant management module for BigIron Chassis devices. The VM1 supports all of the features supported by the Management II, III, and IV modules, but enhances feature performance using new hardware architecture. The VM1 provides enhanced performance using distributed processing among multiple CPUs. The multiple CPUs enable the VM1 to perform the following in hardware: process Access Control Lists (ACLs), perform Policy-Based Routing (PBRs), perform Network Address Translation (NAT); collect statistics and export them for NetFlow-based accounting and billing.
